Power Systems Engineers, Perth

The Perth office was opened 16 years ago and have a built a solid local reputation for engineering excellence in leveraging and supporting our software and hardware platforms and consulting across the electricity utility and mining sectors.
We have multiple roles available in Perth for Graduates through to Principal Power Systems Engineers.
We offer full-time permanent employment to energetic engineers to support our utility and industrial/mining clients across the WA/NT region but also with interstate opportunities via our other offices in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne. The work will present a wide variety of technical challenges and will be mainly office-based but also involve occasional field campaigns to client sites nationally and regionally in Oceania and Asia.
Protection Sales Engineer, Perth
DIgSILENT Pacific have a subsidiary company representing Finnish protection relay manufacturer Arcteq Oy in the Australian, NZ and Pacific region. We are seeking a protection engineer to lead the sales and support activities of Arcteq Pacific based out of Perth.
Although separate to DIgSILENT Pacific operations, the successful candidate will be supported by the network of DIgSILENT Pacific offices throughout Australia and will report directly to local company directors.
With over 21 years of experience in marketing and supplying protection relays in the region, there is already an established client base for Arcteq Pacific to expand from.
Senior Power Systems Engineer (Brisbane or Sydney)
We are seeking an experienced Senior Power Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of engineers, delivering high quality power systems engineering projects, and maintaining technical excellence within the team.

In this position, you will engage with a wide array of projects that span various aspects of power systems engineering, including:
- Advising on power system and market studies, specifically in emerging regional markets
- Planning projects across both distribution and transmission levels
- Executing studies related to both renewable and conventional generation
- Development of advanced power system monitoring solutions
- Data management and large scale software integration of PowerFactory tools
- Development of dynamic controller models in PowerFactory, PSCAD and/or PSS/E software
- Performing dynamic stability simulations and analysis
- Assessing GPS compliance and conducting R2 model validation testing
