Maintenance & Support Services
DIgSILENT releases a new version of PowerFactory every year. On average quarterly DIgSILENT publishes new service packs. Each new PowerFactory version is enhanced with new functions, new electrical models and extensions to the existing modelling suite, improved calculation and simulation performance. During the guarantee period and with a valid maintenance contract PowerFactory users are able to download software updates from DIgSILENT’s download area for registered users.
Our technical support team is available from Monday to Friday 8:30 - 5:30 (Central Standard Time, CST/CDT) to provide professional support to PowerFactory users with a PF4C or PF4R licence within the guarantee period or with a valid maintenance contract. During our posted support hours, we will endeavor to respond to support requests within 24 hours. We do not guarantee a resolution to the request in that time period, but will acknowledge the request and communicate with the user as needed to gather more information to help resolve the issue. You can contact us via telephone or via our web based customer portal at www.digsilent.de/en/support.html. Within the customer portal you are even able to include your PowerFactory data files (*.pfd) as attachments to your request ticket at any time.
Electronic copies of the PowerFactory documentation (i.e. current user manuals and introductory tutorials) are available for all users with a valid maintenance contract in the customer portal.
We share technical content and knowledge with you by providing FAQs, application examples and advanced tutorials. The frequently asked questions (FAQs) will help you to find answers to common questions quickly, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Application examples and videos show typical use cases regarding the transmission, distribution, industrial, and generation sector. Tutorials provided on different topics are suitable for self-dependent learning.
Seminars will be offered on a biannual basis at a conference center location within the United States and will be open to the public. The seminars will include various standard topics of PowerFactory and will be conducted by a DIgSILENT expert on the particular subject matter. Please check back for details on our website for new events.
PowerFactory user group meetings are organized regularly to provide information as well as a platform where PowerFactory users are able to share knowledge and experiences. PowerFactory users within the guarantee period or with a valid maintenance contract get discount for registration. For more information or to be added to a user group session, please email your contact details along with the topics of interest to info@digsilent.com.au.
Registered PowerFactory users will get newsletters about new PowerFactory releases and upcoming seminars via e-mail. Of course you can decide during the registration and at any time later if you want to receive our newsletters.
