DIgSILENT completes harmonic testing of Xylem ozone generators at Melbourne Water's Eastern Treatment Plant

DIgSILENT Pacific was engaged by Xylem Water Solutions to complete independent harmonic testing of their newly installed ozone generators at Melbourne Water's Eastern Treatment Plant. The ozone generators purify waste water by generating ozone gas which is directly injected into the waste water thereby sterilising and purifying it. On the electrical side, the ozone is generated with medium voltage DC that is provided through a 12-pulse rectifier from the Melbourne Water reticulation system.

Using state-of-the-art measuring techniques and test equipment, DIgSILENT was able to verify the level of harmonics generated by the machines and also confirm the performance of the installed active harmonic filters.

DIgSILENT was pleased to work with Xylem and Melbourne Water to achieve a successful outcome for this project and looks forward to a productive future relationship.
