PowerFactory Basic Users' Training

This two day course provides a general introduction to the use of PowerFactory software and is aimed at first time users. Topics covered include:

• Introduction to the graphical user interface;
• Introduction to the PowerFactory data structure;
• Entering network information to PowerFactory;
• Load-flow analysis;
• Reporting and manipulating of calculation results;
• Reactive power control;
• Active power control;
• Distribution system analysis tools (voltage profile, feeder scaling);
• Modelling of unbalanced systems (2-phase, SWER etc);
• Short circuit (fault) analysis according to IEC and Australian standards;
• Expansion and operational planning using variations and operation scenarios;
• Advanced line modelling; and
• Introduction to DPL tools.
